Peter Jackson returns to announce a new "limited edition" of the extended versions, this time in HD. Recall that the first edition was widely labeled Mr. limited (even numbered came the box) and end each Christmas is a new edition.

A poorly thought might think that we expected a super-deluxe edition of the Tolkien saga when Jackson published on BluRay the mega pack with the two Hobbit films and three extended Lord of the Rings.
