Slightly Elevated Glucose Level 6.4

comics sales in USA

Tienda Especializada I met by chance this awesome article on the evolution of U.S. comics market:

The Comics comic books or popular staple of the forties, the Superman and Captain Marvel, sold millions of copies a month at the appropriately named after Golden Age, Golden Age, before the arrival massive television in the fifties, where one of the first television success was precisely the number ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN (1952-58)

The article reviews the evolution of all sales to this day. Interestingly, the more these are the comic characters in the media, fewer comics are sold.

Surely this problem is due to inbreeding system of specialized libraries. The abandonment of the kiosk and the gradual disappearance of the clip makes the comics are an expensive and out of reach of children. Thus the average age increases comics reader, but the number of buyers, since they do not flock to the new generations.

If you like comics, I strongly recommend you read the article Pepo PĂ©rez
